UWPD offers fingerprinting and VIN inspections for UW students, staff and the general public. You do not need an appointment but must show up during designated hours.

How to Report a Crime
There are several ways to go about reporting a crime to UWPD. Choose the option that is most convenient and safest for you.
Note: if there is an emergency, dial 911 immediately.
- In Person- Visit us at 1010 E. Ivinson Street, on the first floor of the parking garage.
- Via Phone- Call (307) 766-5179 to talk to an officer about non-emergency issues.
- Confidential Sexual Assault Form
- Anonymous Tip Line- Text 847411 (Tip411) and use keyword UWYO to anonymously report a tip.

Signing up for UW Alert is the best way to stay informed about important events on campus. UW Alert is the messaging platform used to notify the University of Wyoming community about emergencies, time-sensitive information (such as snow days) and real-time updates on safety threats.
