New districting model incorporates all staff

Staff Senate was established in 1977 to provide classified staff representation in the university's shared governance system. In the 2024 revision of our Bylaws, we now ensure that Staff Senate encompasses administrative professional staff and contract staff in addition to classifed staff. With this revision, we have grown from 40 districts to 43. Roughly 1/3 of the districts are up for election each year.
