Requirements for Dual Enrollment
High school students interested in this program must meet several requirements to
ensure they’re prepared for university-level coursework while balancing their high
school responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Current high school junior or senior
- Submit an official high school transcript with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Written letter of recommendation from high school principal or counselor
- Submit ACT or SAT scores (if available)

Interested high school students will submit their online application through the UW portal as a Non-Degree Seeking Undergraduate Student.
Admittance to UW happens on a rolling basis, meaning applications are accepted at any time. However, you will want to be sure your application is submitted prior to UW classes starting for the semester.
Official transcripts need to be sent to the University of Wyoming Office of Admissions from your high school. Be sure to talk to your high school counselor about this requirement.
High school students who are admitted into the dual enrollment program will need to submit a copy of their Immunization Records to Student Health Services.
An ACT and/or SAT score is not required for admission to this program. However, if you have taken either test, it is helpful to submit your score to demonstrate your readiness for the program.
Yes! Dual enrolled high school students will be held to the same academic standard, required to do the same work and able to earn the same credits on their college transcript.
