Steps to Re-Enroll
The University of Wyoming is always excited to see returning students! The steps to re-enrollment for undergraduates and graduate level student are straightforward and the same.
If less than one academic year has passed, simply contact your advisor and register for classes via WyoWeb with their assistance.
If more than one academic year has passed, apply to UW via online application. Be sure to indicate "Returning Student" when prompted in the application process.

Resuming your academic journey is an exciting step, but we understand it can feel challenging at times. To make the process smoother, we’ve gathered all the resources you may need to help returning students successfully navigate re-enrollment.

Getting connected with your advisor is a key first step up re-enrollment. The ACES team is here to help ensure you have everything in place to continue and thrive in your academic pursuits at UW.
Returning students will register for classes via WyoWeb. If you attended any other academic institutions before returning to UW, be sure to submit transcripts for any transferable credits.
Students who left UW on academic suspension must submit a Petition for Reinstatement through ACES. To re-enroll, you will need to be admitted to UW and reinstated by your academic department.
Returning students will need to re-apply for financial aid and scholarships.
The Student Success and Graduation Hub is a key resource for all UW students, offering support for a smooth return and ensuring long-term success in your academic journey.
Returning students are not required to live in university housing, but affordable and convenient on-campus options are available and worth considering.
The UW Counseling Center is here to support all UW students. Reaching out and connecting with the counseling staff can be a helpful tool as you re-integrate into student life.
