How to Apply
Students who completed your first bachelor's degree at UW and have not attended any other institutions:
- Fill out the online application as a “returning student.”
Students who completed your first bachelor's degree from another institution or graduated from UW and have since taken courses at another institution:
- Fill out the online application as a “transfer student.”
- Pay the $40 application fee.
- Send all other official transcripts sent to the UW.

A second bachelor’s degree can unlock new career opportunities and broaden your academic horizons. We are here to provide all the information and support you need to successfully navigate this exciting next step in your educational journey.

To be eligible for a second bachelor’s degree, you must provide proof of your first bachelor’s degree, have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 and complete the application process.
Once admitted to UW, you can find your advisor’s name and contact information in the WyoRecords section of your WyoWeb.
A second bachelor’s degree and a graduate degree are separate. Coursework from a second bachelor’s cannot count toward a graduate degree. If interested, learn more about pursuing a graduate degree.
Yes, students working towards their second bachelor’s are still eligible for financial aid and scholarships. You will need to reapply for these opportunities.
