Steering

Purpose

The Steering Committee will also monitor attendance and participation within the First-Year Senate and address matters relating to member responsibilities, conduct, or discipline when necessary. The Committee shall work with First-Year Senate leadership to identify organizational priorities and ensure that committees are effectively carrying out their assigned responsibilities.

Composition

The three officers of the First-Year Senate and one First-Year Senator, the Steering Committee Liaison, will serve as the membership for the Steering Committee.

The Presiding Officer will serve as the Steering Committee chair.
