ASUW is launching a winter initiative to support students during the colder months. Starting at the December Townhall held on December 6th, 2023, ASUW initiated the distribution of handwarmers to students. This effort aims to provide warmth and comfort during the winter season. The distribution of handwarmers will continue throughout the Winter season at various tabling events. ASUW remains dedicated to enhancing the student experience and ensuring the well-being of the student body.

ASUW is thrilled to announce the approval of nearly $80,000 in funding for an array of special projects on campus. This substantial allocation will contribute to enhancing various aspects of student life. The approved funding includes support for the following projects: $18,300 for IT, covering the acquisition of calculators and iPads; $6,193 for Campus Rec, earmarked for outdoor equipment; $4,979 for the Cheney Center to create a mural; $14,739 for the Half Acre project.

ASUW is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its scholarships, available to all students. This initiative aims to support and recognize a wide array of students who face economic hardship, display community involvement or are exemplary academics. The application period commenced on November 15th, 2023, and interested students are encouraged to submit their applications by the deadline of January 16th, 2024. Awarded funds will be received by students for the Spring 2024 semester.
