Leadership Summit

The 2022 Leadership Summit was a success! Keep an eye out for announcements about future College Freshmen Leadership Summits so that you can participate in leadership training, college prep, outdoor activities, and more!

Who: Upcoming GEAR UP college freshman. Participants must have finalized their admission to a college or university inside or outside of Wyoming.

What: A 10-hour workshop series (spread out across three short days) that focuses on college transition, leadership development, financial aid, and college/career readiness.

When: TBD

Where: TBD

Participating students will receive a financial stipend for their time and effort!

Summer Academy

For three summers in a row, GEAR UP Wyoming hosted a summer academy at the University of Wyoming in Laramie for GEAR UP Wyoming participants. This free experience allowed students to explore different careers and majors while having fun. Watch for updates about future Summer Academies for an experience you won't forget!

Who: GEAR UP Wyoming participants who are in high school 

What: Various activities and workshops centered on different careers.

When: TBD

Where: The University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY (students will be provided lodging in the university dormitories)
