Following two years at Western Nebraska Community College, I completed my undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Wyoming. I was born in Gillette and raised in both Wyoming and Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Much of my family graduated from the University of Wyoming, including my mother, father, two grandfathers, and brother. I have enjoyed the community of Laramie, the outdoor exploration, and the opportunities available at the University of Wyoming.

After graduation, I hope to become a public defender, potentially in Washington state or Michigan. Before coming to law school, I sought opportunities that would allow me to help underserved and disenfranchised communities as an attorney. The Defender Aid Clinic has been the perfect experience to show the impact public defenders can have on the lives of individuals and communities that need it most. It has provided the opportunity to improve the practical skills needed to be a successful trial attorney—and the mentorship has been invaluable.
