I’ve seen firsthand how the Civil Legal Services Clinic fuels the fire within me and my fellow students when we assist indigent communities in legal matters and make a genuine difference in their lives.

A Wyoming native, I graduated from Sheridan High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from University of Wyoming. I chose to pursue a law degree because I see it as providing an opportunity to serve as a productive member of society while assisting people when they are most vulnerable.

I see UW as the perfect place to pursue a legal education because of its commitment to experiential learning. The clinic provides real-life experience to help students grow as professionals, which contributes to personal growth in all aspects of life. The Civil Legal Services Clinic has shown me the value of kindness, patience, empathy, and dedication. It has made me more willing to embrace failure as a stepping-stone for future success.

I am vice president of the Potter Law Club for the 2021-2022 after having served as the student-faculty representative for 2020-2021. I’ve also been active as fundraising chair in the student chapter of Equal Justice and am a member of Women’s Law Forum.

Following law school, I hope to be a better professional and, in general, a better person than when I first walked through the doors of the University of Wyoming College of Law. I hope the clinic can help me become more open-minded, creative, and perceptive to assist in a future career of alternative dispute resolution.
