Emma Carlson Emma Carlson new Knowledge Coproduction Coordinator

In her new role of, Emma Carlson will act as a bridge between partners on the ground and the WyACT team — helping to connect research and practice that supports local knowledge, water stewardship, and resilient futures across Wyoming.

Now Accepting Applications for TRKE Cohort 3

TRKE brings together educators and researchers to explore changing water availability and its far-reaching impacts. Participants will collaborate across disciplines, exchange knowledge, and co-design meaningful learning experiences that connect science, social studies, and community action.

Kristi Hansen Kristi Hansen joins WyACT leadership team

Dr. Kristiana (Kristi) Hansen is now a Co-Principal Investigator for WyACT. Hansen is an Associate Professor and Extension Water Resource Economist in the Department of Agricultural & Applied Economics at UW. Her research focuses on water resource economics, community resilience to climate variability, and water management policy.

Taking the temperature of Wyoming public opinion on climate change

A University of Wyoming survey reveals Wyoming residents overwhelmingly believe that changes in water resources and climate are happening, and risks can be reduced with community response plans and statewide policies. The survey was designed by a group of researchers from different fields at the University of Wyoming.
