Reservations and Consumables

To rent a space, buy consumables, or work at our facility, the following steps are required.

  1. Gather evidence (saved certificates) of compliance for all UW required safety trainings for the Science Initiatve Building. Required trainings are:
    • Bloodborne Pathogens
    • Online-Laboratory Safety “Chemical Hygiene & GHS/ OSHA”
    • Online-New Employee Safety Orientation
    • Online-Workplace Chemical Safety “Hazard Communication &GHS/OSHA”
    • Online/Regulated Waste Management
    • Portable Ladder Safety

  2. Contact our Facility Manager, Mike Baldwin (mbaldwi5@uwyo.edu), and share the certificate of completion for all UW Safety trainings and sign up with him for the Agricultural Worker Protection Standards (WPS) training. These one hour, in-person, trainings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 3 pm. WPS trainings have a validity of one year.
  3. At the end of your WPS training, you can create a new account on the PPMS system at this account creation page and coordinate with Mike for bookings and purchases specifics afterwards.
