Reservations and Consumables

To reserve space, or work in spaces at the PGPF, the following steps are required.

  1. Gather evidence (saved certificates) of compliance for all UW required safety trainings for the Science Initiative Building. Required trainings are:

    1. Bloodborne Pathogens 
    2. Online-Laboratory Safety “Chemical Hygiene & GHS/ OSHA” 
    3. Online-New Employee Safety Orientation 
    4. Online-Workplace Chemical Safety “Hazard Communication & GHS/OSHA” 
    5. Online/Regulated Waste Management 
    6. Portable Ladder Safety

  2. Contact the PGPF Facility Manager, Mike Baldwin (mbaldwi5@uwyo.edu), and share the training transcript showing completion for all UW Safety trainings.

  3. Sign up for and complete Federally mandated Worker Protection Standard (WPS) training. These one-hour in-person trainings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 3 pm. WPS trainings have a validity of one year, and failure to complete annual training will result in access privileges being revoked.   4. Create an account in the facility’s booking and purchasing system (PPMS). To reserve space or purchase consumables, PIs are required to provide a project description and billing account number to the Facility Manager.
