Reservations and Consumables
To reserve space, or work in spaces at the PGPF, the following steps are required.
- Gather evidence (saved certificates) of compliance for all UW required safety trainings
for the Science Initiative Building. Required trainings are:
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Online-Laboratory Safety “Chemical Hygiene & GHS/ OSHA”
- Online-New Employee Safety Orientation
- Online-Workplace Chemical Safety “Hazard Communication & GHS/OSHA”
- Online/Regulated Waste Management
- Portable Ladder Safety

- Contact the PGPF Facility Manager, Mike Baldwin (mbaldwi5@uwyo.edu), and share the training transcript showing completion for all UW Safety trainings.
- Sign up for and complete Federally mandated Worker Protection Standard (WPS) training.
These one-hour in-person trainings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of
each month at 3 pm. WPS trainings have a validity of one year, and failure to complete annual training will result in access privileges being revoked. For more information on the federal regulations please visit: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-40/chapter-I/subchapter-E/part-170
- Create an account in the facility’s booking and purchasing system (PPMS). To reserve space or purchase consumables, PIs are required to provide a project description and billing account number to the Facility Manager.
