The Energy Engagement, Leadership, and Careers (Energy ELC) Program is dedicated to community engagement, leadership, and workforce development for energy-producing and energy-adjacent districts in Wyoming. It has been launched by the University of Wyoming’s School of Energy Resources (SER) to lead in the development of a skilled energy workforce, engage industry stakeholders, empower communities by incorporating local knowledge into program development and research, advance social science capacity building, and inspire the next generation of leaders through innovative education.
The Energy Engagement, Leadership, and Careers (ELC) program will streamline the School of Energy Resource’s (SER) engagement and workforce development efforts, including the requirements of Community Benefits Plans associated with federally funded projects. Energy ELC will collaborate with all SER centers on overarching workforce development and community engagement goals, and with organizations across UW and the state, including Wyoming’s community colleges. The program will work closely with the Outreach team and the Academics team to provide support and expand the capacity of SER in these areas.
