Practice of interests include evidence-based practice in crisis and risk management, suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention, grief and bereavement, social work practice, as well as Trauma-Informed Care.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in transformational learning, aiming to inspire critical pre-reflection and reflection, personal growth, a global lens, and a commitment to social justice. I believe in student-centered learning, where diverse experiences enrich classroom discussions, bridging theory and practice. By integrating theory with real-world applications and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and heard, students build reflective skills, competency, and they positively move toward being socially conscious professionals dedicated to lifelong learning and contributing to meaningful societal change.
