About the Real Estate Minor
The real estate market is constantly evolving. That’s what makes it such an exciting
career path for many UW students. UW’s real estate minor provides students with a
comprehensive understanding of real estate concepts, including investment strategies,
underwriting analysis and property valuation techniques. As you delve into real-world
investment scenarios, you’ll learn to analyze property data, evaluate investment opportunities
and develop investment strategies.

Students must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming to declare a minor in real estate.

What can you do with a minor in real estate?
A minor in real estate can open doors to a wide range of careers in property management, development, finance and investment. You might work as a real estate agent, appraiser or property manager or pursue roles in commercial leasing, mortgage lending or real estate law. This minor also adds value to majors like finance, marketing, construction management and pre-law by giving you specialized knowledge of property markets, valuation and transactions—skills that are useful in both the public and private sectors.
