From a young age I was intrigued by the medical field. While I was exploring career options I took a CNA class and had a great experience working with patients and learning about nursing. After this I was inspired to pursue a degree in nursing. I loved that nurses build relationships with their patients and help them through difficult times.
Wyoming is my home state, and I love it here! While discerning where to attend college, I visited the UW campus and got a tour of the nursing school. Everything about the campus and the nursing program just felt right. The staff that I met seemed very passionate about teaching and nursing, so I knew that I wanted to be a part of their program.
I knew that getting involved with Aspire would be a great opportunity. I wanted to develop my leadership skills and become more involved in campus. I also was drawn to Aspire because I am passionate and excited about nursing, and Aspire provides me with experiences relating to my career.
