UW Establishes New Policy for Conferences

June 18, 2009

The University of Wyoming has a new policy regarding the scheduling of conferences following the recent closure of the UW Center for Conferences and Continuing Education (CCCE).

For future conference needs, UW urges clients to contact the UW Conference Center at the Hilton Garden Inn at (307) 721-7575. To request use of a university building or on-campus space, call Central Scheduling at (307) 766-6717. To arrange a student camp or request on-campus housing for events, call UW Residence Life at (307) 766-3670.

The closure of the CCCE also resulted in the discontinuation of enrichment classes. All scheduled summer classes with low enrollment have been canceled, and no further classes will be scheduled.

Any student who has paid for a class that has been canceled will receive a refund as soon as possible.

The Business Certificate Program, previously provided through the CCCE, will be continued through UW Human Resources. For more information, call James Thein at (307) 766-3521.

For more information on policy changes, call the UW Outreach School at (307) 766-4300 or e-mail ccce-questions@uwyo.edu.
