Request Credit for Participation

We are pleased to offer several professional development credit options for your participation in the UW ECHO networks. The following credit options are available for participants in all networks.

UW Graduate Credit

UW graduate credit is awarded twice an academic year, once in December for the fall semester and once in May for the spring semester. You may earn up to 3 credit hours each semester. Each credit hour requires a $50 registration fee which can be paid with a credit card or check to the University of Wyoming.

To receive credit, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Submit your information on the credit request form (link below). A hardcopy enrollment form will be mailed to you.

  2. Return the completed form along with payment. Each credit hour requires a $50 registration fee (max. 3 credit hours/semester).

  3. [Fall semester credit only] Complete the UW ECHO pre-test.

  4. For each credit hour, attend 12 live sessions and complete the session evaluation (1 credit = 12 live sessions, 2 credits = 24 live sessions, 3 credits = 36 live sessions).

  5. For each credit hour, present a professional development training or a case presentation (1 credit = 1 PD/case, 2 credits = 2 PDs/cases, 3 credits = 3 PDs/cases).

  6. Complete a UW ECHO interview about your experience with UW ECHO (an evaluator will contact you)

  7. [Spring semester credit only] Complete the UW ECHO post-test.

PTSB Credit

PTSB credit is awarded once an academic year in May. There are two ways to earn PTSB credit:

Live Session Participation

Credit Available: 0.5 PTSB credit for every 6 live sessions attended.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Submit your information on the credit request form (link below) and be sure to enter your PTSB number. Please sign into http://ptsb.state.wy.us/ to retrieve your PTSB number. ECHO staff does not have access to this information.
  2. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test.
  3. Attend the live sessions AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session.
  4. Complete the post-test. The post-test becomes available in April/May. A link will be emailed to all participants.

Credit for the entire year will be tallied and awarded in late May/early June.

Recorded Sessions

Credit Available: 0.5 PTSB credit for every 9 session recordings viewed and evaluations submitted.


To receive credit for viewing the recorded session videos, you will need to do the following:

  1. Submit your information on the credit request form (link below) and be sure to enter your PTSB number. Please sign into http://ptsb.state.wy.us/ to retrieve your PTSB number. ECHO staff does not have access to this information.

  2. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test.

  3. You will be given an iECHO database account after completing the pre-test. Session recordings will be housed in the iECHO database. It is the responsibility of the participant to locate and view the session recordings and submit the session evaluations appropriately in order to receive credit. Incorrect evaluation submissions cannot be counted for credit. *Note: In the survey, you must indicate that you watched the recorded session – otherwise credit cannot be awarded.

  4. Complete the post-test. The post-test becomes available in April/May. A link will be emailed to all participants.

Credit for the entire year will be tallied and awarded in late May/early June.

STARS Credit

STARS credit is available for participants of the UW ECHO in Assistive Technology, Autism, Behavior Supports, and Early Childhood networks. There are two ways to earn STARS credit:

Live Session Participation

Credit Available: 1.0 standard clock hour per session attended.
To receive credit for attending the live sessions, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Submit your information on the credit request form (link below) and be sure to enter your 9-digit STARS Registry ID (this may be different from your past STARS ID. Please sign into http://wyregistry.org to view your profile to find your Registry ID. ECHO staff does not have access to this information.
  2. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test and indicate that you will be joining the Assistive Technology, Autism, Behavior Supports, and/or Early Childhood network sessions.
  3. Attend the live sessions in the above networks AND complete the session evaluations that are emailed to you after each session.
  4. Complete the post-test. The post-test becomes available in April/May. A link will be emailed to all participants.

Credit for the entire year will be tallied and awarded in late May/early June.

Recorded Sessions

Credit Available: 0.5 non-standard clock hours per session recording and evaluation.
To receive credit for viewing the recorded session videos, you will need to do the following:

  1. Visit http://wyregistry.org and log into your account (or register if you haven't done so already).

  2. Click "Find PD Event" in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Select the search category "Course Description" and type "ECHO" into the search field.

  4. Select the session date you are looking for and click "Enroll Now".

  5. Review the session recording via the YouTube link in the description, and complete the session evaluation by copying and pasting the evaluation URL into your browser. *Note: In the survey, you must indicate that you watched the recorded session - otherwise credit cannot be awarded. Credit will be updated and awarded once a month.

Please note that you cannot earn credit for both live attendance and viewing the recording for the same session.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates will be sent to participants in May at the conclusion of all UW ECHO Network sessions. You will earn 1.5 contact hours for each session you attend.
To receive credit for attending a session, you will need to complete the following:
  1. Submit your information on the credit request form (link below).
  2. Complete the UW ECHO pre-test.
  3. Attend live UW ECHO sessions and submit corresponding session evaluations.
  4. Complete the post-test. The post-test becomes available in April/May. A link will be emailed to all participants.
