Alexandra is from Casper, Wyoming. She decided to pursue medicine because she loves the science of medicine and wants to be able to help and directly impact the lives of others positively. She expresses that she finds it very exciting to be a part of a field that is constantly changing and where important discoveries are being made so often. She has not decided what she will specialize in yet, but sees many areas that interests her and is looking forward to learning more about them. Alexandra completed her Bachelors in Materials and Biomaterials Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology where she was able to participate in medically-related research. In her spare time she enjoys being outside, reading, and playing the harp.
