About the UWAA|University of Wyoming Alumni Association

About the UWAA

Launched in 1895 with eight alumni, the UWAA is proud of its long history of keeping alumni connected to the university and offering a wide array of opportunities for service. With a membership over 20,000 people, the alumni association serves as an important connection to the university for more than 120,000 alumni around the world.

Our Mission

To promote the excellence, distinction and uniqueness of the University of Wyoming to the people of the state, the nation, and the world and to foster a spirit of loyalty and community
among its alumni, students, and friends today, tomorrow, and forever.

Welcome to the University of Wyoming Alumni Association – your life-long connection to UW. Wyoming alumni are attached to the university through fond memories and a sense of pride in the education they received. Our goal is to keep you interested in, informed about, and involved with your alma mater. We are here to reconnect you with old UW friends, and to help you make new UW memories and alumni friends. Our sponsored events and functions, both on campus and throughout the country, the UWYO Magazine, our web presence, and social networking initiatives all serve to keep you involved with UW and fellow alumni.

We are a non-profit alumni organization. The support of dues paying members worldwide allows us to serve alumni and our university. We are governed by an elected board of directors and serve as the liaison between former students and the University of Wyoming.
