Knowing how to manage your organization responsibly and effectively is an important part of being a leader of your organization.
For additional assistance, meeting management, and conflict resolution, please refer to the Student Org Handbook.
The University of Wyoming has a set of policies that Student Orgs are obligated to know and demonstrate. Please familiarize yourself with the following policies.
Use of Buildings, Grounds, & Services by Student Organizations Policy
Policies & Procedures Governing Sexual Misconduct
Violence in the Workplace Policy
Civil Rights Discrimination Policy
Cowbell
Every Student Org on campus is required to have a page on Cowbell. Organizations are expected to upload their officers list (full roster is encouraged) onto Cowbell every semester, so the Student Orgs & Entertainment Office has accurate representation on who is involved with Student Orgs. If you need help updating and changing rosters or officers, please email studentorgs@uwyo.edu.
Constitutions
Each Student Org is required to have an updated constitution on file. If your organization would like to update their constitution, please email studentorgs@uwyo.edu with the updated version. Make sure to follow the University required statements. A student orgs constitution template can also be found here.
Travel
If your Student Org travels outside of Wyoming for Student Org specific purposes, every member traveling needs to fill out the travel notification form before traveling. If you plan on traveling, please also notify the Student Orgs & Entertainment Office at studentorgs@uwyo.edu.
Student Org to Club Sport Process
If your student org is looking to become an official club sport here at the University of Wyoming, please look at our approval process agreed upon by the Campus Recreation and Student Orgs & Entertainment Offices.
