The Student Orgs & Entertainment Office has several signature events to look forward to each year. The most significant events include: 

 

Union Priority Scheduling Info:

The annual priority scheduling takes place in the spring semester for the following year's reservation request for the Wyoming Union. Make sure to check back in the Spring 2024 Semester for more information.

Involvement Fest:

Our Involvement Fest occurs bi-annually and is an opportunity for Student Organizations to connect with and potentially recruit new members or publicize upcoming events. The fall event happens around the third week of the fall semester on Prexy's Pasture while the winter event happens during the second or third week of the spring semester in the Wyoming Union. When details for the next event become available, they will be put on Cowbell, emailed to officers, and posted on CSIL social media pages.

 

Student Orgs Summit: Registration Coming Fall 2024!

Join us for the annual Student Orgs Summit!! This is a great leadership development opportunity for both new and returning student org officers and the general membership. The summit touches on foundational topics such as event planning basic, risk management elements, and marketing. Along with developmental leadership topics including examples like caring for a culture of care within your organization, understanding your lived experiences, conflict resolution strategies, and more! If you have any questions about our upcoming summit please reach out to our Student Organizations Coordinator at stuorgs@uwyo.edu



Student Organization Awards: Opens in Spring Semester

Our Student Orgs Awards program promotes excellence among all Student Orgs and rewards hard work, collaborations, and community service. The awards recognize outstanding achievements for each academic year. Any Student Org can win the awards, which have been designed to be fair to all groups no matter what the size or budget. Nominations and the awards ceremony both take place in the spring semester. Below are our awards for this past academic year. Updates on award winners, applications, and more will be available here in Spring 2024. 

  • Sara Axelson Outstanding Student Org - Presented to the Student Org that demonstrates excellence and commitment to helping students, serving the community, providing support, and presenting their purpose. 
  • Best New Student Org - Presented to the new student Org that demonstrates excellence and commitment to being active on campus, promoting diverse programming, and educating the campus on their purpose.
  • Student Org Leader of the Year- Presented to a student leader that demonstrates excellence and commitment to serving and supporting the Student Org, showing strong character, and leading with integrity
  • Emerging Leader of the Year- Presented to an individual who most noticeably demonstrates initiative, motivation, and potential for continued student leadership within their organization and community
  • Advisor of the Year-Presented to an advisor that demonstrates excellence and commitment to serving and supporting the Student Org and being reliable and dependable.  

 

Advisor Appreciation:

Usually occurring in April, this event is our token of appreciation and recognition for advisors who work throughout the year to support our student organizations and ensure the success of the organization and its members. Advisors, be looking for an email with more information on this year’s Advisor Appreciation event.
