Family & Consumer Sciences Faculty

The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences is one of the most interdisciplinary
programs at the University of Wyoming and contains a mix of faculty in several disciplines:
- The Design, Merchandising, and Textiles (DMT) program emphasizes the study of historic clothing and textiles, merchandising of textile
and apparel products, retail business sector applications, and various aspects of
apparel design, including both artistic and functional design options.
- The Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) program is designed for professionals currently working in human services fields
who would like further education and serve individuals and families across the lifespan.
- The Human Nutrition and Food Science (HNF) program enables students to pursue studies in areas such as human nutrition and metabolism,
food product development, community nutrition, food microbiology, sports nutrition,
and disease prevention.
We are comprised of several core faculty, adjuncts, and professors emeriti that administer
courses, host events, conduct extensive research, and support student success. Reach
