The Academic and Student Programs advising team takes immense pride in the relationship it has cultivated with the faculty and staff members of the Family and Consumer Sciences department within CALSNR. Academic advisors meet with the department head, staff, and faculty members weekly to stay up-to-date on changing protocols, curriculum and scheduling, new program development, and general department news.
Katie Carroll (left) and Molly DeLau (right) attend faculty meetings where they are included in department and campus-wide updates and decisions. The advising team also interacts closely with faculty mentors and internship coordinators to assure that FCS students are provided with as many resources and opportunities as possible, both as current students and future alumni. The alliance between ASP and FCS is revered highly by faculty and staff in both offices and is integral to the success of each unit and its students.
