Honors Courses

Building the foundation of interdisciplinary inquiry

At the heart of the Honors College experience are courses designed to spark curiosity, invite discovery, and challenge you to think in new ways. Honors courses are not only about mastering material; they are about engaging deeply with ideas, perspectives, and questions that expand your intellectual agility. You will be asked to cross boundaries between disciplines, to see connections where others see divides, and to approach problems from multiple vantage points. Through small, discussion-driven classes and innovative learning opportunities, Honors courses encourage you to collaborate, take intellectual risks, and develop the habits of mind that prepare you to navigate an interconnected and ever-changing world.

Core Courses form the foundation of this journey by cultivating interdisciplinary inquiry, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. Global Perspectives courses broaden your understanding through exposure to different worldviews and cultural frameworks. Upper Division courses invite you to take on complex questions through faculty-designed explorations that connect directly to scholarly expertise. Together, these courses provide the framework for engaged, integrative learning throughout your time in Honors.
