The Downtown Clinic is a primary care clinic that provides wholistic care, without charge, to people experiencing poverty. The Clinic is founded on kindness and relationships, and embraces change, innovation and creativity. The clinic is seeking three interns in the following areas: reception, client advocacy, and intake.
Eppson Center for Seniors

J & J Second Chance Small Holdings

Laramie Animal Welfare Society (LAWS)

LAWS mission is to enhance the welfare of the animals in the Albany County community, primarily through foster and adoption, our trap, neuter, and return (TNR) program; pet rehoming; and funding medical care, including spay and neuter for animals at the Laramie Animal Shelter. Our intern will gain hands-on experience with our animals and learn about LAWS' care practices.

The Office of Governmental Affairs acts as the liaison between state elected officials and the University of Wyoming. Its duties include tracking legislative proposals and providing information on how the university may be impacted by those proposals during legislative sessions and throughout the year. Interns interested in researching and reporting on proposed legislation, potential legislative topics and policy issues, and monitoring legislative committee meetings should apply!

Wyoming State Science Fair is a STEM research competition for 6th-12th grade students. We work hard to engage ~1000+ students statewide in doing original STEM research and presenting it at competitions and we need a creative intern to assist with creating formative a science, engineering and mathematics research competition!
Honors Internship Learning Outcomes
- Practice a range of skills appropriate to the internship setting, including professional communication and collaboration.
- Describe one organization’s unique structure and impact and what can be learned from it.
- Refine and clarify professional, academic, and personal goals and aspirations through critical analysis of the internship experience.
- Prepare for future integrative work such as the capstone project through new interdisciplinary perspectives and greater cultural and professional awareness.
