IECM 12.0 beta released

We are pleased to announce the release of IECM 12.0 beta. This version includes support for biomass and waste coal, co-firing, and greenhouse gas life cycle assessment for PC plants, as well as a new online user manual. Unlocking Potential for Low-Carbon Hydrogen Production from U.S. Natural Gas Resources

Postdoctoral Research Associate Zitao Wu has a new paper, Unlocking Potential for Low-Carbon Hydrogen Production from U.S. Natural Gas Resources, published in Environmental Science & Technology. This study offers an integrated understanding of low-carbon hydrogen from the resource, environmental, economic, policy, and societal perspectives and recommends a cluster approach to jumpstart a hydrogen economy. A Continuation Grant to Advance Hydrogen Production and Transportation Infrastructure in Wyoming

October 2, 2024

PI Haibo Zhai has received a continuation grant from the Wyoming Innovation Partnership program for Phase III. This project will translate the Phase II outcomes into teaching and education materials and incorporate them into the relevant academic programs at the University, develop a computer-based tool for research, teaching, and education, prepare workforce training workshops, and promote k-12 and public education on clean hydrogen. In addition, the team will further research advanced technology for low-carbon hydrogen production.

PhD Student Wanying Wu has a new paper, Technological evolution of large-scale blue hydrogen production toward the U.S. Hydrogen Energy Earthshot, published in Nature Communications. This study takes an outlook for the technological evolution of tax-incentivized blue hydrogen production toward the U.S. Hydrogen Energy Earthshot and reveals its dependence on numerous economic and policy factors.
