Biography
Allison Gernant teaches first-year seminars, first year composition, courses in the Bridge Program and the English Department, and coordinates UW First Year Seminars. Her research and teaching interests include learning about successful strategies for first-year college students; role playing games in higher education, and using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to promote social justice in university classrooms. She enjoys theatre, fly-fishing, and going on walks around Laramie with her dog, Chester. In the long winters, she volunteers with Laramie's Medicine Bow Nordic Association (MBNA) to teach cross-country skiing to children ages five to ten.
