Sammy is the Chair of Research & Outreach Services and Assessment Librarian. In this role she coordinates the UW Libraries liaison program, information literacy instruction, and serves as a liaison to College of Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental and Natural Resources, and College of Business. She is also the coordinator of UW Libraries assessment efforts.
Sammy’s research focuses on disability within libraries including Universal Design for Learning in the classroom and workplace, experiences of librarians with invisible disabilities, and more.
Outside of work you can often find Sammy outside, she enjoys hiking, gardening, playing with her dogs, and many farm animals including chickens, ducks, turkeys, and more.
