The WTMB requires that all members arrive on campus for a one week preseason training camp. All freshmen members of the band are exempt from the Freshmen Saddle Up Orientation. This is a crucial week of preparation for our band as we will learn our pregame routines and begin learning the first halftime shows. This week also offers a great opportunity for members to get to know each other before the academic semester begins.
8/16 - Student leadership training (just section leaders), drumline and colorguard move
into dorms and meet to check out equipment.
8/17 - Drumline and color guard rehearsal
8/18 - Full band move-in day. New member check in.
8/19 - 8/23 Full band rehearsal
8/24 Family and Friends Performance in War Memorial Stadium (3:30 pm)
8/25 No rehearsal
8/26 First day of classes
