Audition Requirements and Instrumentation
- Perform a Bb Major scale in a manner which demonstrates your range on your instrument (we suggest 1-2 octaves)
- Perform your choice of part for Ragtime Cowboy Joe

- Perform from the beginning (fermata length optional) to the FINE. You do not need to go through the chant or repeat
- Click here for a reference recording
- Please do your best to complete the audition on the instrument that matches the parts in the music folder
- The following instruments may supplement their auditions with instruments of the same
family type
- Piccolo performers may use a Flute
- Mellophone performers may a use French Horn
- Baritone performers may use a concert Baritone/Euphonium
- Sousaphone performers may use a concert Tuba
- You might consider recording your audition before you lose access to your high school's instrument

Directions for Recording/Submitting Audition
- Find a quiet place to record
- Introduce yourself, with your first and last name, instrument, major (if decided), and where you are from
- Record yourself performing the above requirements
- Once your video is completed and saved, go to YouTube.com
- Select CREATE
- Drag/upload video file - you may need to click "select files" then find the video wherever you saved it
- Title the video with your first and last name and instrument: Ex. Joe Carver - Trumpet
- Select "yes, it's made for kids" and then NEXT
- Under "Visibility" select UNLISTED
- You can copy your video link on this screen or click SAVE
- You should see your video under "channel content" where you can copy your video link
- Submit your audition video using the form below
