Helpful Hints
Office of the Registrar
- Always take advantage of Early Registration. Even if you're not sure whether or not
you are returning the following semester, it's easier to early register and then drop
those classes if needed.
- When meeting with your adviser to set up your class schedule, always determine several
alternative classes in case some of your preferred classes are closed. Print a copy
of your Degree Evaluation from WyoRecords and take it with you to your advising session.
- Report changes of address or phone numbers as soon as possible. You may change your
address yourself on WyoRecords (in the Personal Information area), call the Office
of the Registrar, or stop by our office in the West Wing of Knight Hall. Don't miss
receiving important mail from the University.
- Be aware of important dates and deadlines. These are printed in the front of the University
Catalog and Class Schedule booklets or you may check our online calendar.
- Be sure to keep your Class Schedule until the end of the respective semester. You'll
need the course reference number (CRN) to make any changes to your schedule. And the
Final Exam schedule is helpful in planning your study time for finals.
- Plan ahead when needing a copy of your transcript. Transcripts may be ordered on WyoRecords
or with your signature by either fax or mail, (Transcript Request Form). Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
- You are the only person (outside of university personnel with a verified reason) who
can request a copy of your grades or transcript. This means that your parents, spouse,
or friend cannot complete the request for you.
- If you are unsure of a deadline or a procedure, do not hesitate to stop by our office
or call us at 766-5272.
- Read the front section of the class schedule each semester to be aware of any changes
in procedures or policies. Don't become of victim of the "but nobody told me" plague.
