Entrance Counseling

Online loan counseling must be completed by all first time loan borrowers.

The entrance loan counseling will apply to all your Federal Direct loans.

Exit Counseling

Perkins

If you have borrowed a Perkins Loan while at UW, you must participate in a loan exit interview if you plan to graduate or have graduated from UW, have left school, or dropped below half-time status. The interview will give you a chance to go over your obligations regarding repayment of your loans, so you will know exactly what your responsibilities are. If you have any further questions please contact the Office of Student Financial Operations.

Federal Direct

Online loan counseling will give you a chance to go over your obligations regarding repayment of your loans.

The exit loan counseling will apply to all your Federal Direct loans.
