Summer Federal aid consists of federal loans and, if eligible, a Pell Grant. Summer students must enroll for at least half-time status as defined by Federal Regulations to receive federal assistance, defined as 6 UNDERGRADUATE CREDIT HOURS for undergraduate students and 4.5 GRADUATE CREDIT HOURS for graduate students. This is not the same as half-time status through the office of the Registrar.
Changing the session and/or number of credits you are enrolled can impact the amount of your financial aid award. Notify the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid of any changes to your schedule.
All summer applicants seeking federal financial aid are asked to submit a 2022-2023 FAFSA and the Summer Financial Aid Application.
If you wish to receive federal loans for Summer 2023, you must:
Enroll at least half time for Summer:
Undergraduate students: 6 credits
Graduate students: 4.5 credits
Pharmacy students: 6 credits
Law students: 3 credits (half time for summer only)
