Dr. Eric Jorgensen is an actor–scholar–director whose teaching and creative work connect theatre history, performance studies, and production. His research explores American drama, acting, theatre history, musical theatre, Shakespeare, and the health humanities, with particular interest in theatre responding to HIV/AIDS. As an actor, he has worked in regional theatre, Off-Off-Broadway, and on national tour. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and an alum of the National Theater Institute, Eric also served on staff at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and spent nine years as Finance Officer for MSF/Doctors Without Borders USA. Away from the stage, he is a fifteen-time marathoner.
The University of Wyoming has earned its Research Level 1 (R1) status from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing Wyoming's only four-year university with the top research universities in the United States.
