Kathy Kirkaldie serves as Fine Arts Coordinator for the UW arts units, where she is
responsible for publicity, grantwriting, editing/writing, graphic design, website
design/maintenance, social media, and special projects, among other tasks. Kathy
has worked as a writer/editor, scientific editor, grantwriter, publicist, freelance
writer, ESL teacher, JO gymnastics judge, archivist, band member, and long-time youth
leader. She loves to engage in inquiry of all kinds, whether in the arts, sciences,
or humanities. Mostly, she just likes hanging with her family and being outside.
Selected acting credits include THE CHILDREN’S HOUR, BURIED CHILD, SHEAR MADNESS,
CRIMES OF THE HEART, and DEATH OF A SALESMAN, but Kathy’s favourite productions to
date have been her daughters, Claire and Grace, and her son, Benjamin.
