Claire Dinneen Barrile has over seven years of clinical experience supporting patients navigate the healthcare system. After completing her undergraduate degrees in French and Microbiology at the University of Wyoming, she attended Johns Hopkins University to obtain her masters in Nursing Science in 2020. After three and a half years of patient care as a registered nurse in Wyoming, Claire joins the Research and Evaluation team at WIND where she applies her direct patient care experience by including patients, families, care givers, and health professionals in the research process using Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) methods.
Claire was first introduced to CBPR during a community health capstone project where she assessed patient knowledge and interest in con-current probiotic and antibiotic use at the Downtown Clinic of Albany County. She has since worked at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit and Inpatient Behavioral Health before moving to Laramie where she worked in community health as an RN Care Coordinator at the Downtown Free Clinic. Claire plans to continue to pursue research opportunities to assess how health structures and care environments impact health outcomes.
