Dillon is from Cheyenne and is passionate about the outdoors. He loves fishing and hiking in the summer and skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. Indoors, music is his creative outlet as he enjoys composing classical music for piano, and being a singer/songwriter for guitar and vocals. Dillon knew he needed to pursue medicine after an inspiring sports medicine surgeon in Vail, Colorado operated on Dillon’s torn ACL. The dynamic nature of surgery fascinates him and he has grown to love the straightforward “fix it” mentality of the field. He is most interested in the “glorified carpentry” of orthopedic surgery but is open to other areas. After spending the two years preceding college in Moscow, Russia, Dillon decided to continue studying Russian language and culture as a Russian major at Brigham Young University in Utah. Apart from the language, he loves being carried to another time and place through reading Russian literary classics from Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky. Dillon treasures time with his beautiful wife, Joelle, and their golden doodle puppy, Camper. He’s excited to become fully immersed in healthcare and learn the science of medicine.
