Sarah is from Ranchester, Wyoming. She earned degrees in Physiology and Spanish from the University of Wyoming in 2017 with minors in Neuroscience and the Honors Program. Sarah’s desire to pursue a career in medicine is founded in her love of science and exploration and passion for serving others. A trip to Agua Salada, Honduras paralleled her own small hometown and solidified her desire to become a community-centric physician, emphasizing a positive doctor-patient relationship and empowering patients to adopt healthy lifestyles. Currently, she has interests in family and pediatric medicine, but is excited to explore all aspects of the medical field. Overall, in her future work, Sarah would like to focus on rural medicine and plans to place emphasis on reaching out to Spanish-speaking communities in Wyoming and worldwide. In her free time, Sarah enjoys backpacking, biking, fishing, and playing piano.
