Amanda was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. She attended Montana State University where she earned degrees in biochemistry and cell biology & neuroscience. Amanda was drawn to medicine when she identified a need for health education and mental health awareness in her community. Her interest solidified when she shadowed local physicians and spent time with patients while volunteering for hospice. Amanda views medicine as an ideal avenue where her interest in science and service can intersect. She currently sees a future as an OB/GYN but is excited about aspects of other surgical specialties and pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, playing volleyball and spending time with family and her two dogs.
