Perry moved to Gillette, Wyoming with his family during high school. He chose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in physiology with a psychology minor at the University of Wyoming. Since graduating, he has worked as a medical assistant and scribe. He enjoys the densely packed outdoor opportunities of Wyoming. Perry expressed that he is glad to attend a university with the same initialism as his undergraduate alma mater and the same colors as his high school, to avoid undue strain on his memory.
