NOW HIRING!!!

WCC now accepting applications!

The WCC 2008 work season will officially begin on May 17th!  We are excited to announce that because of last year's success we are doubling the number of crews we provide for projects around the state.  We now have 24 crew member positions available and we are accepting applications.  Join us in contributing to Wyoming's future!

The 24 crew member positions for summer 2008 are now open!  We are accepting applications until March 28, 2008.  To apply fill out the UW student employee application available through the link below.  Submit the completed application and your resume by the March 28 deadline.  You can submit your application materials via e-mail or in person to room 212 Wyoming Hall on UW's campus.

This year we have an option for those interested in getting hands-on forestry experience.  One crew will spend much of its time in south-western Wyoming working with the USDA Forest Service on the Wasatch-Cache National Forest.  If you want to know more about this position or are interested in applying to be on this crew, please specify this in an e-mail to the WCC.

Leadership in Public Service

The Wyoming Conservation Corps provides Wyoming’s young adults important personal and technical skills and experience in natural resource and environmental career fields, through projects focusing on improving Wyoming’s public lands.  Participants will gain first hand experience dealing with Wyoming’s complex landscape, providing them with real world skills and a deeper appreciation for the state’s environmental challenges and riches.  Furthermore, the WCC program will provide financial support for higher education, at Wyoming’s community colleges or the University of Wyoming.
