The Residential Network (ResNet) is a service that students can utilize while living in the Residence Halls, in the River Village section of the UW Apartments, the Honors House and some Greek Houses. It is a direct cable connection (also known as an Ethernet connection) to the campus computer network and the Internet. The ResNet Support Center has Residential Computer Consultants (RCC's) available during the regular academic year to assist students living in all of the locations listed above with most computer related problems. The ResNet Support Center, located in Information Technology Center, room 160, is typically open during regular business hours (9am - 5pm). The office is also open during the summer months from 10 to 4 Monday through Friday.  The ResNet office is closed during all University holidays.

Message from the Head of ResNet:

As Manager of ResNet I believe a few things that people should know how to do. One of them is change a tire, and other is how to remove a computer virus and preform basic computer maintenance. We at ResNet strive to help you learn these steps (well maybe not change a tire, but you never know). If you get a computer virus, have questions on how to do things with your computer, or want to know how stuff works please drop by and we'll try our best to show you.
