The University of Wyoming club hockey team will open its 2009-10
season with a pair of games against Montana State University this
weekend.
The Cowboys and Hellcats, who split two early-season games last year,
face off Friday at Spirit Hall Ice Arena in Gillette and Saturday at the
Casper Ice Arena. Both games start at 7 p.m.
UW finished 13-11 during the 2008-09 season but did not compete at the
American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III Pacific
Regional. The Cowboys qualified for the tournament but were disqualified
when the ACHA determined that UW used an ineligible player in two games
during the spring semester.
