I am a gerontologist by training, and my areas of interest focus on late life vision impairments and their effects on functioning and health. I have also published articles on falls prevention/environmental modification, aging with vision and hearing loss, long-term care options for older and middle-aged people with chronic conditions and disabilities, and successful aging in place within the community. I am interested in methods and evaluation designs used in assessing needs, implementation, and outcomes of programs for older adults. In the past, I have taught graduate level courses in Program Evaluation, as well as Aging and Social Policy. Currently, I teach an undergraduate course in Family Relations.
