In July 2022, Dahara de Silva had the opportunity to investigate the socioeconomic and political barriers encountered by female political representatives at the national level in Sri Lanka. She undertook this study as part of her graduate thesis, with funding support from UW.

The University of Wyoming was selected by the Institute of International Education (IIE) to receive the IIE American Passport Project Grant. This grant enabled the Education Abroad office to award 25 passports to UW students to support their study-abroad journeys. The IIE passport grant prioritizes awarding passports to students who are Pell-eligible, first-time passport holders.
