CGS Student International Research Funding Awards: Fall 2024 January 10, 2025
Fifteen UW students were awarded funding during the CGS International Research Funding fall 2024 cycle. Funding is provided by the Center for Global Studies through a number of funds, including the Centennial Fund, the CGS Excellence Fund, the Ellbogen Fund, and the Harris Fund.

An Nguyen: SCA Best Young Professional Paper Award November 15, 2024
An Nguyen, a PhD Candidate in the Department of Energy & Petroleum Engineering, was awarded Best Young Professional Paper by the Society of Core Analysts in October 2024 for her work on the surface properties of nanoporous materials.
Fulbright Faculty Breakfast: Fall 2024 August 30, 2024
The Center for Global Studies ran their second successful annual Fulbright Faculty Breakfast this past Tuesday, August 27. In partnership with the Fulbright Association Wyoming Chapter, CGS hosted past, current, and future Fulbright Scholars to support networking and applications for the upcoming academic year.
International Student Recruitment 2023-2024 July 25, 2024
Every year, ISS Assistant Director Daing Nasir travels around the world to recruit international students for the University of Wyoming. This past year, Daing has visited schools, college fairs, forums, conferences, and other events across India, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Ecuador, Malaysia, Vietnam, and more, culminating in a successful (and busy) recruitment cycle.
Yuki Ayukawa on JOI and Cultural Exchange July 11, 2024
Yuki Ayukawa is the JOI (Japan Outreach Initiative) Coordinator for the University of Wyoming. For the past two years, she has improved connections between Wyoming and Japan, sharing Japanese culture experiences and building business opportunities across the state.
COJO and KazNU: A Culture of Collaboration July 5, 2024
International partnerships between universities are not only formal agreements but dedicated collaborations. An example of such partnering comes from Cindy Price Schultz and Karlyga Myssayeva, whose commitment to transcontinental academic exchange has fostered both friendship and a culture of collaboration between the University of Wyoming and Kazakhstan.
UW Students Studying Abroad with Gilman Scholarships June 21, 2024
This spring, eleven University of Wyoming students were awarded scholarships by the U.S. Department of State to study abroad this summer and in the upcoming fall 2024 semester.
