The Center for Global Studies (CGS) builds international relations and competencies
for the University and for Wyoming, preparing students, faculty, communities, and
businesses to compete and succeed in a global economy.
CGS:
- Builds international relationships and exchanges for UW
- Cultivates internationally-focused research and teaching communities
- Encourages internationally engaged research among UW’s students, faculty, and staff
- Offers international fellowships, grants, and awards
- Develops international knowledge and relations across Wyoming
- Facilitates research and information exchange between Wyoming and the world
CGS provides opportunities for:
- Faculty: Grants and other support for research; finding international colleagues at UW and collaborators abroad; generating
your international conference at UW; hosting international experts/practitioners
- Students: Grants and fellowships that attract and reward top students pursuing international research; supporting international
fieldwork or internships; preparing students for a career in international work
- Community: Speakers and symposia around the state in partnership with Wyoming’s community colleges
and cultural institutions
CGS is:
