Ella Daniel Gray

Ella Daniel Gray was born in Vienna, Austria to Finnish and American parents. Their family settled in the Dallas, TX area and they received their B.F.A. in studio art from Texas State University and an M.F.A. in sculpture at Texas Christian University. They have been an academic advisor at various universities since 2012 and has advised students in a wide range of majors including the liberal arts, STEM, healthcare, and creative fields.
As an Academic and Fellowship Advisor in the Honors College, Ella feels like they have the best job on campus and most of the time it doesn't even feel like work. They strongly believe that advising can and should be much more than simply helping students check off degree requirements.
Outside of work, Ella is a persistent dumpster diver and believes that many of the best things in life can be found in the trash.
