Laura Olson, MA, NCC, LPC was born in South Dakota but grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in German and graduated from the Honors Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). After working a job with a large business process consulting company in Chicago, family needs brought her back to her beloved hometown where she met her husband and started at the University of Wyoming (UW) as a Pre-professional Health Sciences Academic Advisor.
They moved Denver, CO for Laura to pursue a Master’s in Counseling. Once completed,
Laura returned to UW in the role of Academic Advisor and Career Counselor with the
Advising, Career, and Exploratory Studies (ACES) office. As a Wyoming Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC), Laura has focused on Advising and Career Counseling with undergraduate
students.
Laura enjoys spending time with her family (two young children involved with school
activities, sports, and music), traveling, photography, and local outside adventures.
